Oresund, Kattegatt and Skagerrak are not just broad areas that we hear about in the weather forecast. For us, it is an area where 15 Swedish, Danish and Norwegian regions share land, sea and 9 million people. Together they make up the EU program Interreg Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak.
Committed to Solving Pressing Societal Challenges
From 2014 to 2020, we have € 127.6 millions to invest in projects that cross borders to tackle pressing societal challenges – in favor of companies, municipalities, regions, countries and Europe - and above all, for a better world for global citizens.
The investments have now begun to show results. Our projects cross the border and contribute to;
- improving healthcare,
- reducing man-made climate impact,
- strengthen the cross-border labour market,
- secure the regional competitiveness.

Results and the Global Goals
How many patients have received better treatment? How many start-ups have been helped to grow? With a particular focus on the 4 Global Goals that the programme employs, we ask our projects to answer these questions - and many more - twice a year.
